01 / Resilient design

Assess everything, then size it against the load

Sizing is only as good as the three assessments underneath it. We build each one on measured data before any component is chosen.

  • Load assessment — data centre, residential or industrial: demand profile, peaks, diversity, growth and criticality
  • RES assessment — solar and wind resource from multi-year reanalysis data, plane-of-array irradiance and hub-height wind
  • ESS assessment — battery or hydrogen: round-trip efficiency, depth of discharge, degradation and duration required
  • Sizing RES & ESS against the load — the combination that meets the reliability target at the lowest lifetime cost

Sizing, on live data. Move the sliders and the reliability, grid and self-use figures recompute against real weather for the site. This is the fourth step above — sizing renewables and storage against the load — with nothing hidden behind it.

02 / Digital twin

Run the design for ten years before you build it

A model that behaves like the plant: real weather in, real dispatch decisions out, over a horizon long enough for the bad years to show up.

  • Modelling load, RES and ESS with pattern analysis — diurnal, weekly and seasonal structure extracted from the data, not assumed
  • RES generation driven by a real-time weather API, so the twin tracks the site as it is today
  • ESS operation coupled to load and generation — charge, discharge, state of charge and grid exchange resolved at every timestep
  • A full virtual SCADA system for robust and extreme testing: multi-year runs, outage scenarios, worst-week cases and long-horizon studies over e.g. ten years

03 / Feasibility analysis

Does it work, and does it pay

The twin produces the energy balance; the feasibility layer turns it into a decision you can defend to a board.

  • Feasibility check — whether the sized system actually serves the load under the reliability criteria set at the start
  • Year-by-year trajectory — generation, unserved energy, storage degradation and grid dependence tracked across the horizon
  • Full cost analysis — capex, opex, replacement, LCOE, NPV and payback on a referenced cost basis
  • Option comparison — design options ranked side by side, so the recommendation is a ranking rather than an assertion
04 / Standardisation

The standards we follow — and the design must meet

Compliance is stated explicitly in the report, clause by clause, rather than left implied. The applicable set is confirmed with you at kick-off and depends on jurisdiction and connection point.

Electrical standards

Wiring rules, cable selection and current-carrying capacity, switchgear and controlgear assemblies, protection coordination, earthing, harmonics and power quality, and substation communication where SCADA integration is in scope.

RES standards

PV array installation and DC-side safety, grid connection of inverter energy systems, PV performance monitoring, wind turbine design and power-performance measurement, and battery energy storage installation and safety.

Load standards

Data-centre infrastructure and redundancy tiers, generating-set and standby supply requirements, emergency and critical-supply provisions, and reliability assessment for industrial and commercial power systems.

Every stage above written up in one document: assessments, sizing, twin results, feasibility, cost analysis and the standards checked — with the assumptions and data sources stated.

The digital twin

Handed over as a working model you can re-run yourself when the load, the tariff or the site changes. Scoped separately by agreement.

Models & data

Sizing workbooks, dispatch time series, exportable logs for real-time simulation platforms, and component specifications with datasheets.
